reddoxxreddoxx Installation of REDDOXX Virtual Appliance with VMware Server, GSX-Server or ESX-Server
 
  • Please create a new virtual machine in your VMware environment. Please pay close attention to set the correct value:

    • Hardware Setting
    OS Other Linux 2.4.x kernel
    Harddisk SCSI min. 40 GB
    SCSI Controller Type BusLogic
    Memory 256MB, 512MB, 1024MB oder 2048MB
    (see also Versions of REDDOXX Virtual Appliance)
    Network adaptor  
    Processor 1
    CD-ROM drive (required for installation)

  • Start the newly created virtual machine and boot from this CD-ROM.
  • Follow the installation instructions in order to install the REDDOXX Virtual Appliance.
  • Register your REDDOXX Virtual Appliance
    (This procedure is mandatory. Therefore the Virtual Appliance requires access to the internet.)
